Why use CPM instead of WPM?
While WPM is standard for general typing, CPM is the metric of choice for exact data entry. WPM assumes a "word" is exactly 5 characters long, which completely obscures your true mechanical speed if you are typing highly complex alpha-numeric strings, code components, or non-English data.
